Grape County Eco Resort had organised the first Edition of Anjaneri Ultra Trail run at Grape County Eco Resort on 5th, December, 2021. It was Nashik’s first Ultra trail run. The vision for starting such an event was to promote Nashik as a beautiful sports and tourist destination.
The perpose was that people from all over the country to come and witness the beauty of Nashik city. The Trail run was divided into 3 categories, 15 kms, 30 kms and 60 kms. The beautiful trail started from the resort and went through a series of beautiful hills, lakes and forest.
The run saw a participation of over 300 enthusiastic runners from all over the country. Mr Radhakrishna Game ( Divisional Commissioner) Mr Sanjay khandare, Amol Tambe (DCP) , Mr Sachin Patil ( Superintendent of Police), Mrs Vinita Singal were some of the prominent personalities of Nashik, that were spotted gracing the event.
The Vision behind this unique event was of Dr Ravinder Singal ( IG). He believes Nashik is blessed with such a beautiful topography-majestic mountains, pristine blue lakes and a pleasant climate, which makes it ideal to be promoted as a beautiful sports destination. He wishes to bring in the running culture to the city. His vision was aptly supported by Mr Tejas Chavan, Director, Grape County. Together they made this event highly successful and have put Nashik on the map for the various runners associations.

A special mention about Ms Devika Patil. This young women was the only female participant for the 60 kms category. The brave girl successfully completed the most difficult 60 kms trail in just 6:42:56 timing. This achievement is really commendable. She has shown that nothing is impossible if one makes up ones mind to achieve it. She has inspired many female runners to ty for 60 kms in the next edition.
The event was successful only because of the voluntary support of the team members like Mr Aditya Talwar, Mr Sameer Rakte, Mr Atul Sangamnerkar, Mr Aniket Zawar, Mr Gaurav Gupta, Mr Amit Tibrewal, Mrs Snehal Deo, Mrs Sonali Dabak, Mr Anirudh Athani,Mr Ravindra Metkar, Mr Digvijay Wagh and Mrs Apeksha Chakrranarayen. Mr Mustafa Topiwala from Sports Med provided the post run physiotheraphy support. Mr Vijay Tanna from V human provided acupressure therapy to the runners. Suyash Hospital provided medical aid for the run.
