Premlata Mishra installed as Lions President

Well known Industrialist and Partner of Advent Engineers Premlata Manish Mishra took over as President of Lions Club of Nashik Sinhasth in a virtual installation ceremony. The Ceremony was graced by District Governor of district 3234 D2 CA Abhay Shastri and Vijay Sarda Convener. Along with her, Hema Girdhani installed as Secretary and Sunita Ahuja as Treasurer.

Lions- World Wide Social Organization

Lions Clubs International (LCI) is an international non-political service organization established originally in 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, by Melvin Jones. It is now headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois. As of January 2020, it had over 46,000 local clubs and more than 1.4 million members (including the youth wing Leo) in more than 200 countries around the world.

Commitment to Serve

Speaking at this occasion Premlata Mishra expressed her plan for various social activities through Lions Club of Nashik Sinhasth. These activities include Tree plantation and Conservation, Help to needy in an orphanage, honoring COVID warriors, and many more. Premlata Mishra recently registered a World Record in for conducting 540 Mins Non-Stop Lecture on Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship.

Role of Lions in Indian Disaster

Some of this is donated in reaction to events such as the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and the 2013 Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). In these disasters, Lions, and LCIF provided disaster relief locally and from around the world, with donations and commitments surpassing US$1 million.

Sight First Project

Sight First and Lions World Sight Day, which was launched in 1998 to draw world media attention to the plight of sight loss in the developing world.
