On World Environment Day and to mark the completion of 75 years of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), Epiroc, a leading mining and infrastructure equipment company, joined hands with MSRTC officials for a tree plantation activity at the Satpur bus stop. This event kickstarted a collaborative effort to enhance the bus stop facilities and create a positive social impact in the Satpurcommunity.
Recognizing the importance of public infrastructure development and the need to improve the commuting experience for the community, Epiroc and MSRTC have come together to upgrade the bus stop facilities at Satpur. Being a significant transit hub and a bustling industrial area, Satpur Bus Stop will witness heavy footfall from both commuters and employees. By investing in the enhancement of bus stop infrastructure, the organizations aim to provide high-quality passenger amenities, health and sanitation facilities, and driver-conductor restroom amenities.
During the tree plantation activity, 75 trees were planted to symbolize the 75 years of MSRTC’s remarkable service. The event was attended by esteemed guests, including Mr. Arvind Patil General Manager, Epiroc Mining India Limited, Ms. Pallavi Pande-Phad, Head HR, Mr. Aniruddh Mahuli, SHEQ Head, Mr. Shirish Nagmoti- Management Team member, Mr. Rajendra Patil (Epiroc Employee’s Union President), CSR team and their supportive colleagues. The event was also graced by Mr. Nitin Maind (Deputy General Manager, Mr. Arun Siya (Divisional Controller), Mr. Kiran Bhosale (Divisional TrafficOfficer), Mrs. Kalyani Dhage (Sr. Depo Manager), and other dignitaries and employees from MSRTC.
This collaboration aims to promote sustainable development, environmental conservation, and enhance the overall experience for commuters and employees at Satpur. As part of the CSR initiative, efforts will be made to beautify the compound walls and landscape the bus stop area, making it more visually appealing and pleasant for all.
