A special Royal Kolhapuri Food Festival has been organized for the diners from June 24 to July 3 at the Tata Group’s Hotel ‘The Gateway’, which adds to the splendor of Nashik and gives a distinct identity to Nashik in the field of hospitality.
The authentic royal Kolhapuri taste will be available at the Kolhapuri Food Festival at Hotel ‘The Gateway’ because the menu as well as all the dishes of the festival are prepared under the guidance of Padma Guest House run by the well known Ingle family in Kolhapur. The chef for this food festival is also from Kolhapur . The Pancharatna restaurant at The Gateway is decorated in Kolhapuri style.
The Ingle family is an old family from Kolhapur and belongs to the royal family of Kolhapur. Kamalabai Saheb, daughter of Sardar Manyajirao Ingle, was married to the wealthy Shahaji Raje [III]. The Ingle family has also served as honorary members of the royal court. After the independence of the country, the Ingle family started the Padma Guest House in 1947. Eaters have been enjoying the authentic Kolhapuri royal taste ever since.
Vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals will be served on Monday to Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings and evenings. Along with regular meals, you can also enjoy meral pickles, mutton parsandas, stuffed chicken, sunti, khima papad and solkadhi.
