India SME Forum in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India has announced the ‘Bharat Intellectual Property (IP) Yatra for MSMEs’ in Nashik, as a part of its National IP Outreach Mission : a two- day workshop to promote awareness and adoption of intellectual property rights amongst MSMEs.
It was inaugurated today on February 6th , at The SSK Solitaire Hotel and will be concluding on 7.The event aims to educate small businesses on the strategic use of IP and how it can fuel innovation and drive business growth. The National IP Outreach Mission will cover 30 major cities and 500 aspirational blocks across India, through the accredited IP Facilitation Centres of the Ministry of MSME.
The Nashik Edition of the Bharat IP Yatra is well received by the industry captains and has garnered support from most leading trade associations including Federation Of All India Vyapar Mandal (FAIVM), Nashik Industries Manufacturers Association (NIMA) etc. Around 300+ MSMEs from across Nashik are attending the programme and
The Nashik Edition of the Bharat IP Yatra also aims to bring together lawyers, entrepreneurs, government officials, and IP professionals to share perspectives and real-world expertise. Recognizing the demand for a more tailored approach to empower MSMEs in terms of Intellectual property and enhance their D2C & exports capabilities, the India SME Forum in collaboration with the Ministry of MSME, GoI is embarking on a journey to make adoption of Intellectual Property more constant across all MSMEs. With the ongoing digitization, MSMEs can particularly benefit from utilizing trademarks, copyrights, and geographical indications to distinguish themselves in the global marketplace.
The first day features workshops on “Big Branding for Small Business – Rupees 100 Crore Business Model for MSMEs utilizing IP” & “Creating, Enabling and Growing MSME – D2C Brands Online with Trademarks & Patents”.

The main highlight of the Bharat IP Yatra is the focus session on step-by-step guide on how to avail the benefits under the MSME Innovative scheme of the Ministry of MSME, which entitles eligible MSMEs to a reimbursements between INR 10k – 5 Lacs for trademarks, patents, GIs, design & prototyping.
Day Two will exclusively focus on one on one mentoring for entrepreneurs of Nashik, by leading IP Experts to address queries around patents, licensing, certification standards, and using IP for accessing finance, expanding exports as well as entering foreign markets. There would be exclusive facilitation desks for filing scheme reimbursement claims, udyam registration & Govt. E-marketplace registrations.
